After a manuscript is screened, the editor will review it under the journal's scope and focus. If a manuscript is approved, the editor then forwards the manuscript to reviewers to review the substance of the manuscript under scientific principles (suitability, update, clarity, correlation, and conciseness) and the journal's focus.
