Abstract

Plastic waste is a global issue that affects the environment and public health, requiring sustainable and economically valuable management. In Indonesia, the large volume of plastic waste creates opportunities for the recycling industry, including PT Peka Cipta Kembali, which processes Blowing (HDPE) and PP into plastic pellets. The challenges faced include fluctuating demand, limited machine capacity, and uncertainty in raw material supply. This study aims to optimize production planning using the Single Exponential Smoothing (SES) method for demand forecasting and the Simplex simulation for production optimization. The data used include raw material purchases and sales in 2024, machine capacity of 4.000 kg/shift, and 15% raw material shrinkage. The forecasting results indicate an increase in demand in 2026 with an error rate of less than 10%. With a total production of 5.076.808 kg in 2026, the company has the potential to achieve a profit of IDR 19.519.982.746. The integration of both methods has been proven to improve accuracy and efficiency, and it has the potential to be applied in companies.
