ANALYSIS OF SCREW PRESS MACHINE PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT

Abstract

Maintenance activities function as activities to maintain and maintain factoryfacilities or equipment, make repairs and adjustments or replacements as needed so that there is a satisfactory state of production operations in accordance with what is planned and all activities related to maintaining smooth production such as machines in a condition that isfeasible to work sothat smooth production at the PT Dendymarker Indah Lestari palm oil mill is maintained. The application carried out in machine maintenance activities in supporting smooth production is preventive maintenance and correctivemaintenance which is one of a series of activities that need to be carried out as well as the application of sciencewhich aims to keep the condition of the machine stable or perfect when used. In this study, researchers used qualitative data types using secondary data sources in the form of written documents, direct data and oral testimony or questionnaires from the factory without changing. From the results of the analysis using the results of the application of machine maintenance is very influential on the performance ofthe machine which affects the smoothproduction. Where referring to best practice or world class machine performance at the PTDendymarker Indah Lestari palm oil mill is still fairly low and inhibits smooth production.
